Haywain by John Constable
At the age of six Lupe saw the painting "Haywain" by John Constable and was mesmerized. She recalls sitting for hours staring at the painting, thinking "This is so beautiful." It was in that instant that she knew she wanted to be an artist. Lupe wanted to create artwork that would stir up emotions in others as "Haywain" had done for her.

During high school, Lupe began to express her artistic desire. However, an art teacher discouraged her by stating that she did not have the talent to make it as an artist. The dream crushed by these words sat untapped for many years.

Later in life a crisis left Lupe feeling empty, causing her to search her soul and ask "What will make me happy?." Remembering her childhood dream of being an artist, Lupe picked up the paint brush again. She began taking classes at Covenant Center International and the Palm Beach Armory. And to the chagrin of that art teacher, Lupe discovered that she indeed had talent and with encouragement from many friends began exhibiting.

Lupe has been exhibiting since 2002 and has exhibited at such prestigious places as the Hibel Museum, Governors Club, Palm Beach County Convention Center, Breakers, Frenchman's Preserve, Harriet Himmel Theater, and The Kravis Center.
